The Shala Project exists to honor the legacy of Erin Elizabeth Larsen (EEL) by creating a sacred space for healing, learning, and connection. Rooted in the principles of reciprocity and reverence for nature, the retreat and wellness center will serve as a living tribute to Erin’s values—fostering a symbiotic relationship between teacher and student, self and community, human and Earth.

This two-story yoga shala is architecturally inspired by the sacred geometry of Lakshmi’s star—a symbol of abundance, grace, and divine alignment. The ground level invites guests into an open-air sanctuary, harmonizing with the surrounding natural elements.
Above, the enclosed second floor offers a serene space for workshops, sound baths, seasonal rituals, and community gatherings. Elevated yet grounded, the structure embodies both expansion and introspection, echoing the dual blessings of Lakshmi: material prosperity and spiritual wisdom.
